How to disable input device?

In the Game Controller subsection of Input Devices in System Settings I can calibrate but not enable or disable devices. Any other way to disable a device without physically unplugging it?

I only have 2 front USB A’s and Physically moving my monitor and then turning the PC to reach behind it each time I need to enable or disable a device would be extremely inconvenient…

If your question is how to disable/enable a specific USB port
then this here seems relevant:

I searched for: “disable usb port linux”
and of course there where more hits with possible solutions.

Hmm, that’s a shame. I was rather hoping there would be a gui way, ideally even something part of KDE by default.
