i encounter a strange behavior when i copy files.
Sometimes the little Window “File Operation Progress” wont show up. How is this behavior regulated and how can i change it? Is it relevant what size the files or amout of files etc. is or the location (USBStick) is relevant?
I was copying ca. 500MB on a USB Stick and it shows normal but with a bunch of files with the ca. same size it didnt show and i only could guess when the copying was done by unmounting and see if it blocks it or not.
Welcome to Manjaro!
I’ve read this already and left you a because I’m on KDE so can’t do much for you but as you still haven’t received any answers, I’m giving it a shot:
Does this also happen when you create a new user and log in there?
this behavior is not User specific it looks more like Manjaro/Xfce makes an estimation on how much is to copy and then decide if to show this progress window or not and it seem to miss the large files in this circumstance.
Than I can’t help you any further as I’m on KDE.
