Failed to synchronize AUR database: Socket I/O timed out

I seem to get this allot .
Repeating the command eventually works.

[demo@manjaro ventoy]$ pamac update -a

Refreshing AUR...

It is a CDN time out …

the address is CDN Mirror for AUR files: packages.gz, packages-meta-ext-v1.json.gz

Hi, sorry… and I am… I can already see the face palm, the leg coming off the chair, the sigh… I’m right there with ya, believe me…

Though, here I am, the me, confused… Feeling like a 5yo… Hesitant to ask, little hand up in the air, wanting to come down…

(little shy voice)What is 1 supposed to do here? I don’t understand the CDN time out and what to do about it ? (i don’t even know what a CDN is… :frowning: )

You can only wait.

Either disable AUR support or if you must have AUR enabled disable the aur update check in pamac settings and the issue will go away.

Heya! Cheers for the reply.

I have that enabled? Eeep… Is there any info I could grab for you that would be helpful? And, if so, let me know how that’s done too please ;D

Hahaha! Sorry, i re-read your reply. I disabled AUR, ran a check, enabled it again, re-ran check, works fine now!

Well done
