Experiences with Huion Kamvas 13

Hello,
I am planning on getting a Huion Kamwas 13 for school. How have your experiences with compatibility been?
There is a huiontablet package on the AUR, but will it work well? Will I be able to use my tablet on Manjaro (I have a GNOME as my DE) and will I be able to remap the buttons, calibrate the pen etc? Is there a GUI available?

Hello,

No direct experience with that model, just that i did read a few things about tablets … i think there might be some fiddling to be done. The drivers from 2021 got some people into trouble, but they never came back to report if they sorted it out or not.

Unable to use buttons on Huion Kamvas 13

Hey. I’m having some trouble with using the buttons on my tablet. It seems to recognize them only as mouse button inputs, and there’s no option to actually configure the buttons in the graphic tablet settings.

On the other hand, most tablets this days kind of work like this, but maybe with better suport

I still can't understand how to install huion driver

so i decided to install huion driver on manjaro linux so i downloaded tar file in here Releases · DIGImend/digimend-kernel-drivers · GitHub and extract it but i can’t figure out what can i do with this it just bunch of file idk (since i was new at linux) seems deb file is for debian any one can explain how this work and what can i do? kamvas 12 is working laggy in second display i also get h950p for spare

Setting keybinds for Huion tablet?

I have installed the DIGImend drivers for my drawing tablet as my Huion tablet is supported. But I was wondering how to configure the keybinds? I know on Windows there is a GUI application to configure the keybinds and such but I tried running it with Wine and it could not recognize my tablet. Am I doing something wrong? Is there any other way to configure the buttons’ keybinds on the tablet? NB: I am using the H1060P System: Kernel: 5.10.42-1-MANJARO x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 11.1.0…

Barrel button/pen input conflict (Huion Kamvas Pro 16, 2019 model)

I’ve got everything else working just how I like it, thanks to Digimend and xsetwacom, but for whatever reason, clicking the lower barrel button on my pen is sending the same event as actually touching the tip to the screen, so that rebinding the button also changes the input from the tip. Is there any way to fix this?

I moved to Manjaro a while ago and I was having some hard time setting it up. It works for the Huion Kamvas 13. But I can’t use the hotkeys.
I’ve recommended huion (pctechtest .com/best-huion-drawing-tablets) to friends several times for cheap tablets, and I’m always really happy to see a development marrying two things I enjoy.
