Browsers and VLC get visually distored

What you see in the picture is what things actually look like. The same thing happens in VLC. The center of these application windows get ‘stuck’. This happens in Firefox, VLC, and Chrome. Specs below.
Example:

Example:

Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.75.0
Qt Version: 5.15.1
Kernel Version: 5.8.18-1-MANJARO
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor
Memory: 15.6 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Radeon RX 580 Series

Can you post some more information about the hardware and the graphics driver ?

Does the following help?

I just noticed the following:

Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.9 driver: amdgpu FAILED: ati unloaded: modesetting resolution: 1: 1920x1080~60Hz
           2: 1080x1920~75Hz 3: 1920x1080

It seems the amdgpu failed?

First time this has happened in the package manager:

This is what it should look like:

I also wanted to say that this problem goes back well over a year. Finally decided to look for a permanent solution. Also wanted to mention this usually happens after the computer has been on for several days (I do put it into sleep mode at night).

You have mixed things there. When you switch the GTK theme from Breeze to another, some of the UI elements will get overlapped due to this issue:

In Settings is better let the Style and Decoration set to Breeze … unless you use Kvantum Style, but then you have to make sure you properly set the theme in Kvantum Manager.

I’ve changed my Plasma Style, Application Style, and Window Decorations to Breeze.

But I’ve left my Global Theme as Arc Dark. I hope that won’t be a problem?

Should not be a problem at all, just clean the cache and restart your session to be sure.

So it’s too soon to tell if my issue is resolved (it usually takes several days for the distortions to appear), however, I did notice that there is still the failed flag that is not empty in my graphics settings:

Graphics: Device-1: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD/ATI] Ellesmere [Radeon RX 470/480/570/570X/580/580X/590]
vendor: Sapphire Limited Nitro+ driver: amdgpu v: kernel bus ID: 29:00.0
Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.9 driver: amdgpu FAILED: ati unloaded: modesetting resolution: 1: 1920x1080~60Hz
2: 1080x1920~75Hz 3: 1920x1080

Is this something that I should be concerned about?
