Ethernet drops after hrs of none use

I do not think this is related to KDE but that’s what I use.
After leaving the machine on for several hrs it drops internet. Only way to get it back so far is a reboot. Connect and disconnect has no results.
Any ideas where to look?

Thanks in advance for your time.

WLAN or LAN ?

Lan and wlan both drop.

which ethernet card? What driver are you using? Kernel version? An inxi output would be helpful here:

What is the LAN lease time in the router config? Setting it to 24 hours (86400) might help.

Will have to figure that out. never tried.
Thanks for the reply.

Now to remember the router info :grinning:
