yeah I hadn’t updated in a very long time.
Whats the keyword in the logs to see that it was a successfull update? The last 2 occurences of “upgraded” are these:
[2021-05-30T15:29:42+0200] [ALPM] upgraded rofi-emoji (2.1.2-2 -> 2.2.0-1)
and
[2021-06-22T23:19:08+0200] [ALPM] upgraded manjaro-system (20210412-1 -> 20210612-1)
Do you want the log because it seems to be very big. Or just the part from month May onwards?
Is this what happens if one doesn’t update regularly?
Do you remember what you changed between last successful update session and the first unsuccessful in terms of system configs or other unexpected behavior like electricity down/notebook battery shut down the PC while there was update session / a system app in action / etc.? Try to remember.
Unfortunately I don’t remember… I have two laptops (personal / work) and the one from work is the one that is always on the latest manjaro updates, but the personal one I sometimes forget…
I don’t think I ever had a laptop die on battery during an update.
Is this a situation where maybe a fresh install might be less pain?
