Greetings guys, I have use manjaro linux before, previously I just use solely manjaro on a pc, it runs fine. Now I have a new laptop, Dell G3 with the following hardwares:
processor: Intel i5-8300H
ram: 8gb + 4gb ddr4 ram
gpu: Nvidia GTX 1050
ssd: intel 256gb
hdd: 1 tb hdd
It comes with Windows 10 installed in the SSD. I have created an empty partition in the SSD for the manjaro installation.
I have disabled secure boot in BIOS and change fast boot to minimal.
I have changed the ssd mode from RAID to AHCI
I am using the manjaro XFCE 17.1.11 (the latest from the manjaro stable release). I burn the iso into a usb then try to boot from the usb.
The first time I booted from the usb with no changes, it successfully booted but after a few second it freezes, so I have to force shut down and boot it again.
This time it won’t enter the manjaro desktop, it stops at “Started TLP system startup/shutdown”.
I edit the boot command, added “acpi_rev_override=1” but it is still doesn’t boot.
Therefore, I couldn’t manage to install manjaro xfce alongside Windows 10.
Any helps would be appreciated.
