Yesterday I updated the system and sadly this broke the drumgizmo lv2 plugin. It crashes immediately when used in a project (Ardour here). I also tried to compile it myself but there was an error Fehler: »uint8_t « in Namensraum »std « bezeichnet keinen Typ; meinten Sie »wint_t «? (sorry, system is in german). Is there any chance to get this working again? I used drumgizmo in nearly every of my project, it would be terrible to loose it.
To make this clear: of course I tried the official Manjaro version first. To compile it was only a trial.

You have to provide more information. What versions of what do you have installed - meaning the version of Ardour and drumgizmo. Moreover, if there is a crash there will also be logs about it. You may find it with journalctl. These logs contain some hints of what could be wrong.
What did make you try to compile yourself? And if you do so, i mean then you also should know what information you need to provide such that others have a chance to help.
The versions are of course the latest offered in pamac, obviously. Drumgizmo 0.9.20-3, Ardour 8.12-4 (also every other version). Journalctl just says segfault:

Well, the usual things: clone the git, follow the steps in the readme, ./configure, make…and I also tried the git version of drumgizmo in AUR.
I do not expect that the problem can be solved here, but I wanted to know if this problem occours elsewhere. I believe there have been no updates to drumgizmo for a good while, which is not a very good sign I suppose…

I see. coredumpctl list should give you a list of what we need. As example

Hopefully the core file is still present. With coredumpctl info [PID] we get a stack trace and with coredumpctl debug [PID] one could even symbolise it. This would take some time though. So let’s first see the output of the info.

Ok, so this confirms it’s a segmentation fault in libsord which is a library provided in sord and this was updated from version 0.16.18 to 0.16.20. Recompiling alone won’t help - i mean one would have to rebuild the sord package and not Ardour or Drumgizmo. You need the 0.16.18 version of sord and build it for your system. There is a PKGBUILD (this is available for all Arch packages obviously) and you have to modify it so it builds a prior version - i mean downloading the right sources from https://download.drobilla.net. Then you use makepkg to build the package - full instructions are in Arch User Repository - ArchWiki where you can skip over the parts specific for the AUR repo since we have already the PKGBUILD (the AUR is merely a user maintained repo for such scripts). If you got the package build you replace the 0.16.20 version with the newly built 0.16.18. This should do it, i think. Good luck.
