Whatever changes they may be are likely important.
If you don’t know what needs to be changed, or whether a particular change applies to you, by all means start a new thread to ask for specific help; but, please do not ignore them.

There was also another change that added a new system user: alpm
And this was reflected in other .pacnew files such as /etc/group and /etc/passwd (if I recall correctly
… seemingly minor things can bite you down the (time)line
The tool “meld” is a nice visual way to do the comparisons with - and apply the changes as well.

I can’t remember if I set this up before - but I thought that the pacnew GUI pop was automatic with fresh installations now…
Mine’s also set up to open Meld if I don’t just dismiss it…
