When I go to Desktop and double-click a directory, this action does not open that directory in a Dolphin window. In fact, the action does nothing!
Meanwhile, double-clicking files on Desktop actually opens them up in their default applications.
The only way to see what the files are within a given desktop directory is by clicking a flaky “arrow-up” icon in the top-left corner to get a small pop up preview.
Either that or click Dolphin explicitly, and then click desktop, which kind of defeats the point of having Desktop to begin with.
I tried searching my settings for keywords: “double” (click), “desktop”, but nothing of interest seems to pop up that would indicate an ability to disable this behaviour. Further more, I tried searching Manjaro Forums, but not a single title that matches the case exists.
So it’s neither a double-click issue, nor a case that multiple Manjaro topics mention where they can’t launch or open something other than directories from desktop.
I’m pretty sure it’s a case of some hidden setting or poor naming or location of said setting, so I’m putting this under KDE.
Anyone knows what the setting is called? This has been driving me crazy for some time now. ![]()
