please try this first. it will delete the cache and update the mirrors, choose the 5 fastest and start the update

sudo pacman -Scc && sudo pacman-mirrors --fasttrack 5 && sudo pacman -Syu

sudo pacman -Syu

The package phonon-qt5 is no longer needed.

A portential workaround to the difficulty you are experiencing (above) is:

sudo pacman -Rns gwenview khtml kio-extras libkcompactdisc okular phonon-qt5-gstreamer qt-phonon

However, let’s look at what appears to be the root of the problem.

These are the versions of KDE’s plasma-desktop currently available in Manjaro branches:

6.5.0-1 : unstable

If this is accurate;

then, you appear to not have updated your system in a very long time, so long that you are likely placed in an unsupported state, where a timely update can no longer be performed without complication.

If this is in fact true, then it can take a very long time to walk you through a path to recovery, and success is not guaranteed.

Indeed, the more logical path might be to start afresh.

Can you not just install phonon-qt6 and purpose ?
(because purpose will be the next showstopper - way down at the end of your first post)

pacman -S --asdeps phonon-qt6 purpose

pacman -Rns
translates to
pacman --remove --nosave --recursive

You could try to remove the package without dependency checks and not recursive.

try
pacman --remove
or
pacman --nodeps --remove

purpose5 is the next show stopper and needs to also be removed

if all that can’t be solved by simply installing the currently needed versions - see the beginning above

You could remove the packages one by one, which conflict and install plasma-meta for a basic Plasma desktop. Write down which packages you had removed.

sudo pacman -Rdd <conflicting package(s)>
sudo pacman -Sy plasma-meta
