Dock applet doesn t appear on panel

Hi,
I m writing from manjaro mate community live cd

mate-applet-dock does not work

nothing appears in the panel when you add it

can you upload some picture of showing your problem?

I can’t at the moment, because I tried manjaro mate on live cd yesterday and I’m currently on my daily XFCE session

Does someone can confirm my issue, at the least on the live cd?

I can confirm this issue. This package is outdated and not maintained very well
Arch Linux - mate-applet-dock 0.89-3 (any)

However if you install it manually it works:

git clone https://github.com/ubuntu-mate/mate-dock-applet.git
cd mate-dock-applet/
aclocal
automake --add-missing
autoreconf
./configure --prefix=/usr --with-gtk3
make
sudo make install
