Displaylink not listed in xrandr and not working

Hi,
I have a Lenovo 40af USB-C dock with DisplayLink. USB and peripherals are working fine, only the DisplayLink is what I cannot get working, though the ports are working under Windows.

I stuck to the installation guide on the ArchLinux wiki.

I installed the drivers (displaylink, tried it with displaylink-git as well, same goes for evdi) and the service is listed as enabled and running:

● displaylink.service - DisplayLink Manager Service
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/displaylink.service; enabled; preset: disabled)
    Drop-In: /usr/lib/systemd/system/displaylink.service.d

However nothing comes up on the displays (2x connected via HDMI) and they are asleep. I tried xrandr and it doen’t list DisplayLink as a provider:

Providers: number : 1
Provider 0: id: 0x46 cap: 0xf, Source Output, Sink Output, Source Offload, Sink Offload crtcs: 4 outputs: 4 associated providers: 0 name:modesetting

xrandr itself states, that the two DisplayPort outputs are not connected (I assume that are the two provided via USB-C. It is working with Anker USB-C adapters):

I tried everything I could find on the web both on X11 and Wayland with the usual reboots in between. I also tried to totally power off both the dock and my laptop (Lenovo ThinkBook).

A similar dock was working with this laptop beforehand, however it was, iirc, a 40AN which has Thunderbold, I believe.

If anyone has any idea, what I can try I would be very thankful!
