While this isn’t about OS issues, it’s about the forum’s display issues in dark mode. I’m using the latest Firefox (138.04) with KDE Wayland. When I finally decided to try out dark mode today, I found the following serious display issue in the Manjaro forum:
So, it’s about the color display of text lines formatted in the code block, which is very difficult to read. In light mode, however, the display is very well designed as usual.
Can anything be improved in the site’s programming (better contrast between text and background, for example)?
I updated the site after the change, of course, and the only extensions I have running here are uBlock Origin, Bitwarden, and Plasma Integration. I haven’t installed Dark Reader because I don’t like the forced color inversion.
Yes, thanks, I know that. I had also changed it accordingly. But it didn’t change anything. What has changed now is that I switched from the automatic theme to the explicit dark theme in Firefox. Now it’s working as intended. It’s just a shame that Firefox is acting up again. Thanks for your advice, and have a nice weekend.
I experienced this messing with the dark mode flags in chrome. So look for the automatic dark mode in firefox and disable/make exception or use the forum in light mode from the forum settings and leave the browser do the conversion.
You know, the automatic dark mode in the browser converts the colors to opposite, so the black is actually becoming white.
