Moderator edit: In the future, please use proper formatting: [HowTo] Post command output and file content as formatted text
thank you for your help. am old but new to all this but one ov yous have gave me some terminal commands to get info so hopefully i can find out what is happening
I could find some system related issues, which should be fixed:
- There no swap.
While it can run with 6GB RAM, but if you use multiple programs it can easily run out of ram. Note that programs crash and can do weird things.
- Your GPU is pretty old for a rolling release like Manjaro.
Note that new drivers has commonly new features, which can also lead to weird issues. Sometimes you need to disable some new features like power saving, which donât work well on older chipsets. That can lead to all sort of screen corruptions, artifacts and tearing. Commonly, you can disable them.
- Touchegg is there for supporting multi gestures, but it doesnât work with wayland, but with xorg. That is the reason why it keeps spamming this:
If you need it, then switch to xorg. Commonly, you can switch to xorg on the login screen. Bottom left, there is a button, which let you switch. Otherwise, remove it or disable the service.
By all mean, it has nothing to do with hacking, but your computer need maintenance. I see also that you have a firewall enabled and using the piavpn and clamav (a windows virus scanner for linux).
So at the end:
Either this is a result of an old gpu chipset with one of the newest driver features or it is just the fact that you run out of RAM, therefore programs close itself for stability reasons, since there is no swap configured.
You can search the forum and the web how to solve this. If you need assistance, then just ask, and we can do it step by step.
Thanks again for all your help as av not got much ov a clue i have a new build manjaro runs great on. An al try what you say xorg has made it better already
That would be great it you could help please say what to do or point the way and thank you
Maybe start with creating a swap and see if it solves it: Swap - Manjaro
Report back carefully, step by step, what you have done, so one can follow you.
PS: Please use discourse not like a chat app, so not only a sentence per post, but combine it if possible. Thank you.
@jhall I have 2 good news for you:
- At this point, you canât be hacked.
- Now you have time to learn.
lol ect/fstab # that got me back onâŠobviously its ppl messing with me on these old bones lol a bit. if you would ad like help in steps its lots to take in but amazing to. thanks again
I wish what ever is going on stops fgs. This is something av had before its what am going on about. Years now sadly
