Disable selection on release

Hi everyone

There is a particular feature in KDE which is really annoying me and I was hoping somebody would be able to explain how to disable it.

When right-clicking to show a context menu, the first option in the menu immediately activates as soon as I release the mouse button. This is particularly annoying in Timeshift where the option under the cursor is “Delete” when right-clicking on a snapshot.

How can I disable selection of the hovered menu item on button release?

Hello,

No matter where i right-click, none of the menu options get activated and i still hover each with no action, till i click on it again. Are you right-clicking and holding, then moving the mouse and then release ?

No I am not.

Or at least, not intentionally. I simply right-click and release just like you would with a left click.
