Dim Display (40 % Brightness) on Pinebook Pro

Hello All,

I have a Pinebook Pro laptop with Manjaro installed. Every time the system is rebooted, the brightness level gets set back to 40% and I have to use the Fn+F2 key to increase the brightness to 70%.

Not an Earth shattering problem, but it is a bit of an annoyance. I’ve searched across the web for hours, and unless I’m blind, missing it completely, or just not finding it, I haven’t found a solution.

Anyone have a clue on how to fix this ?

Hm, this might be a side-effect of having our powermanagementprofilerc file in /etc/xdg.

Can you try copying it to from /etc/xdg to your $HOME/.config, reboot and see if it works now?
PS: Check that your user has write permissions for that file.
