Multiple Bluetooth Devices Connected

I have a BT mouse and BT headphone, when both are connected and I move/click with the mouse the audio crack and glitch. This behavior never happens when only the headphone is connected.

Hi @winterwulf, and welcome!

In order for us, or anyone for that matter, to be able to provide assistance, more information is necessary. To that end, please see:

Please also note and heed: Forum Rules - Manjaro

Hope you manage!

:bangbang: Tip: :bangbang:

To provide terminal output, copy the text you wish to share, and paste it here, surrounded by three (3) backticks, a.k.a grave accents. Like this:

```
pasted text
```

Or three (3) tilde signs, like this:

~~~
pasted text
~~~

This will just cause it to be rendered like this:

Portaest sed
elementum
cursus nisl nisi
hendrerit ac quis
sit
adipiscing
tortor sit leo commodo.

Instead of like this:

Portaest sed elementum cursus nisl nisi hendrerit ac quis sit adipiscing tortor sit leo commodo.

Alternatively, paste the text you wish to format as terminal output, select all pasted text, and click the </> button on the taskbar. This will indent the whole pasted section with one TAB, causing it to render the same way as described above.

Thereby improving legibility and making it much easier for those trying to be of assistance.

:bangbang::bangbang: Additionally

If your language isn’t English, please prepend any and all terminal commands with LC_ALL=C. For example:

LC_ALL=C bluetoothctl

This will just cause the terminal output to be in English, making it easier to understand and debug.

Please edit your post accordingly.

Thanks. I have updated my original post.

Thank you. Perhaps someone else who knows more than me can help, seeing as I’ve never used BT, all my peripherals are wired because I don’t want to use wireless stuff. So I can’t help anymore. Sorry.

you should know that there is a lot of trouble with tiger-lake-sound in the past because the driver couldn’t be installed correct. for this it’s good to know that it seems to work on your system.
i’ve got a question, is it possible that you create a backup of your existing system first ? that would be very safe before ongoing.
next step is to skip pulse-audio and install pipewire instead.

I see.
Yes I can, I don’t know how though, I will look it up. But if you have a link showing how to I appreciate.

Well I have these in Timeshift

timeshift_screenshot

you know how to use timeshift and restore a backup from it ?

1 Like

I’ve never done it before, but I suppose I just need to select the last snapshot and hit Restore button. Are there more steps to it?

i’m using something else for backups, i can’t tell you how to use it but it seems to be that simple.

It is all good, we can proceed.

sudo pacman -R pulseaudio pulseaudio-equalizer pulseaudio-jack pulseaudio-lirc pulseaudio-rtp pulseaudio-zeroconf pulseaudio-bluetooth
sudo pacman -S manjaro-pipewire

Wow. Is it necessary to restart the system? So far it seems to work just fine.

Nah, I was claiming victory too soon. I will restart the system.

Looks like it overall improved, but the glitches still happens, less often I would say.

Looks like the BT Mouse interferes with the BT headphone signal, does it makes sense?

When I am using the mouse without bluetooth there is no issue.

okay let’s assume the setting to pipewire was success. let’s try to dig deeper in this malad. please do a backup of the actual system first before going on.
bluetooth is a mess…

btw.: this is a logitech-bluetooth mouse we’re talking about with this unified-controller in combination with a keyboard ?

The keyboard is a Logitech. The mouse is generic (propably chinese), no brand. The headphone is Philips.
