Desktop freezes when connect to wifi

I just installed manjaro linux and whenever I connect to a wifi the whole system freezes after some time. If I connect to internet via usb tethering then nothing happens. I have tried installing vanilla arch and same thing happened, but pop os and fedora didn’t have this issue. I am not sure if it is arch related or device specific. so please help !! thank you

Hi! If you want help you need to provide error logs, system details. No one has crystal ball

I am not sure what logs to show and I think I have pinpointed the issue. It happens when I am connected to wifi and do an update or install with pacman. If I do similar thing when on USB tethering then nothing happens and pacman does it’s thing. Please help !!

Please show
inxi -Fmazy
for a start, and
journalctl -p 3 -xb

If freezes are total and you need to restart your computer, show previous boot errors by command:
journalctl -p 3 -xb -b -1

Don’t forget to use Preformatted text brackets before you send your post so command output is nice and tidy.

Thanks for the information actually I re-installed the OS with LTS kernel which seemed to have removed the freezes but there still are some spikes where I am not able to do anything for 5 secs. I also found some Internal clock never stabilised messages in the journalctl

Thank you again and please help me out

Did you had any SD cards inserted at any time recently?

does connecting a phone count ?

Feb 01 09:44:07 havoc kernel: mmc0: Internal clock never stabilised.

This is error message followed by error dump when some kind of SD card was inserted. I could be a phone.

Any ideas on how to reproduce it so I can verify if it is phone memerycard or not?

Plug in the phone  And watch for new errors.

Will do !! I will let u know if something comes up
