Dell xps 13 2-in-1 9365 bluetooth Audio problems

Hello! I can’t get sound to go through my bluetooth speaker (google mini). I am able to detect and to connect, but there is no passing the sound through bluetooth. it worked fine with arch linux, but for some reason can’t get it working with Manjaro.

and post some more information so we can see what’s really going on. Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies…

An inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width would be the minimum required information… (Personally Identifiable Information like serial numbers and MAC addresses will be filtered out by the above command)

P.S. If you enter a bit more details in your profile, we can also see which Desktop Environment you’re using, which CPU/GPU you have, …

No, the console doesn’t give any output - just opens the settings gui.
The speakers are there - I am able to connect to the bluetooth speaker, but the sound doesn’t go through it.

PulseAudio modules are ok, but no sign of a Bluetooth sink for audio

suggest checking

systemctl status pulseaudio.service

to see if there are any messages about bluetooth connection failing to connect
or connection getting dropped

I am not experienced on bluetooth things and modules are disabled on my system
is there also a bluez.service that can be checked in systemctl too?

I saw something posted yesterday about bluetooth connection dropping out of PulseAudio if the audio sink is suspended
suggested solution was to disable module-suspend-on-idle

I suggest that this module is unloaded temporarily so it cannot cause any problem

pacmd unload-module module-suspend-on-idle

and then try to restart/reconnect bluetooth

Unit pulseaudio.service could not be found.

The command pacmd unload-module module-suspend-on-idle didn’t change the situation.
