Dell Inspiron 15 5585 not waking from suspend

My Dell laptop won't wake when suspended. If I close the lid and let it suspend, it doesn't respond to anything. I have to turn it off by holding the power button for a while. I was wondering if anyone had a solution.

Some background: This laptop has had some issues running linux in the past. There was a bug that didn't allow it to boot due to weird ACPI tables, and it caused kernel panic on boot. The solution I found was to go into the BIOS and set the sleep mode to "Force S3".

Since then, the system has been able to boot and function fine, but I cannot get it to wake from suspend! If someone could offer some insight, that would be greatly appreciated.

Have a look through this, see if anything fixes your model, 10.2 might help with your problem.

In order to fix the issue, I added these kernel parameters to my bootloader:

acpi_rev_override=1 acpi_osi=Linux mem_sleep_default=deep

Depending on which bootloader you're using, you can find out how to add kernel parameters here:
