Deleting distro and downloading manjaro

i had recently installed a linux distro , with my windows 10,but somethings went wrong and now i want to delete that distro and download manjaro, i dont need to delete grub boot loader, the only solution i can think of is delete that linux partition and in the bios boot with the flash drive of manjaro and install it , is this solution/idea valid, will it work , any alternative ideas?

Careful: despite being loaded before booting into the distribution, its executable is still hosted in the same partition. So deleting the distro’s partition will also delete its Grub.

Furthermore, currently Manjaro does require its own Grub to be used in order to boot. Thus, you will need to use Manjaro’s Grub anyway.

:+1: Welcome to Manjaro! :+1:

Alternative idea:

  • Take a backup of your data
  • Boot the Manjaro USB
  • Delete the existing Linux partitions
  • install Manjaro recreating Manjaro’s partitions
