This is mostly just an FYI. I have a VM with Manjaro XFCE installed, I cloned it to install Manjaro Deepin. However when I go to run the installer, I do not have the option of blowing away the partitions and doing a clean install, all I have is “manual partition”.
This appears to be because something in Deepin is automatically mounting the “old” root under /run/media/manjaro/[UUID]. Once I unmounted and restart the installer, I was able to do a clean install. I suspect that this functionality is not desired on the live CD…although it might be handy when you are rescuing a system.
