I have an update from yesterday. And, well, it’s different now: styles works fine in apps, including settings app (now it responds to switching style), the last thing that not working properly though is this “global style” (control panel with wi-fi and stuff and “Activities” screen), it’s still dark. But that doesn’t bother me much since I use dark style anyway.
After our last conversation yesterday I tried to google something similar but older and not Manjaro specifically, so I tried a few things, but none of them was working (with many reboots - with “power off”, not “reboot”). So I’m not sure what exactly helped, but here what I did:
-
In Tweaks played with “Appearance - Legacy applications”, but restored it to initial setting (Adw-gtk3-dark).
-
In Extensions played with “User themes” but also restored it to initial settings (on, “Settings - Themes - Default”).
-
Finally (and probably, most importantly) I found similar cases on other forums, where was recommended to install
xdg-desktop-portalandxdg-desktop-portal-gnome, so I installed them (from pamac)
pamac install xdg-desktop-portal-gnome
pamac install xdg-desktop-portal
But, again, I rebooted several times between all of this and after, and there was no changes. Today I launched my laptop and accidentally noticed that Calendar became dark as it should be (and then checked the rest).
P.S. BTW, I have little stuff installed and rarely change something: it’s 444 Gb free on my 500 Gb SSD (including the OS), so my system doesn’t look like very messy or unusual.
