Curious memory leak for Plasmashell

I wonder if anyone else has come across this odd problem.

I’m finding that the memory use by the plasmashell process is growing by about 1M per second. But only for the first session after a reboot. I’m using auto-login, so Plasma starts automatically (may be significant, though I haven’t tested it without yet). Once I’ve logged out and logged back in again, the problem goes away.

I have noticed that kglobalacceld’s memory use is also growing, albeit quite a bit more slowly.

I don’t use auto-login and I also have never encountered anything you describe, so it might be something to test.

Doing that right now.

If it works, I think you’ve discovered a bug and should file it at the Plasma bug tracker:

Yep, no memory leak with auto-login disabled. I’ll raise a bug.

I use auto-login, and don’t have the issue. I would rather search for an existing closed bug first, or try other Manjaro branches, as reporting a (probably already fixed) bug for a 4 months old Plasma might just be irrelevant.

//EDIT: from the bug report he opened anyway

It would be great if you can see if this is still a problem in Plasma 6.1 or even the 6.2 beta (6.2 is going to be released in a little over two weeks). 6.0 is rather old at this point.
