CUPS not clearing jobs

Hello,

I have en Epson ET-8500. I was able to use CUPS for a while but now jobs are not going to the printer and I cannot delete them from http://localhost:631

I am asked to provide login details on loop. Is there a way to force jobs to be deleted from the queue?
It is a bit tedious to have to use my phone every time I want to print.

Let me know what else you need to know in order to be able to help.

That, for one, is pretty vague.
And open to quite some range of interpretation what the reason might be.

Sorry about the vagueness. I’m in a kind of I don’t know what I don’t know situation (I am very much a newbie).

Does this screenshot help?

… and you cannot cancel the job from there?

No. When I try it asks me to login. I do, but then it asks me to login again. And repeat.
My login used to work and I have not changed it so I’m confused as why that doesn’t work any more.

What error (if any) do you get if you issue from a terminal:

cancel -ax

And then again with sudo:

sudo cancel -ax

No error messages and the jobs are gone from the list
Thanks a lot.

Now to try printing again.
