Create a binary after compiling cource

I hope this is the correct section to post this question.

I am compiling source code to install some software. In Debian based systems you can create .deb packages after compiling to save for a later installation.

Is there a way to do that for either Arch or Manjaro?

also, In Debian and the like there is a .deb, in Redhat and the like there is .rpm. What are these equivalent for Arch and Manjaro? I think its a PKGBUILD, is that correct?

In Arch/Manjaro we use the .pkg.tar.xz|zst format.

A PKGBUILD script can be used to create a package file from a source, when running makepkg -s in the folder with the PKGBUILD script.

This should help.
