This is the weirdest situation I’ve ever had. I’m guessing it’s kernel related. I typically go to Manjaro cause it works the best on all of my past computers. I just got an HP Victus 15 laptop with AMD CPU and GPU a few months ago. The first distro I loaded was Manjaro KDE. It ran fine. No issues.
But just a couple of weeks ago, I wanted to try some distros I haven’t tried. Bazzite KDE and Zorin. When I went to Bazzite, my laptop would freeze whenever I closed the lid for over an hour. If it was less than an hour, it wouldn’t freeze. So I thought it was a distro thing. So I went on to try Zorin. Same issue, since it’s Ubuntu based, so I tried out a few other distros to see if I can find something they all have in common. Each distro had the same issue. Each time I switched to a new distro, the issue got worse. Eventually it started freezing randomly while using the computer. So I gave up and went back to ol’ reliable. Manjaro KDE. It never let me down before and clearly it worked fine on my laptop. So I went back to it and now have the same issues the other distros had.
I don’t have any of the logs from the other distros unfortunately due to the nature of the issue. My computer would crash too often. I managed to get these logs and my system information from manjaro.
