I have this in my logs to, and no gnome-shell issues whatsoever. The error seems to be some wrong command from the shell that tries to start application through a unit called unit. Found this thread while looking for a solution for this error. No clue what the issue @Cronus is experiencing is.
Does logging into a xorg (classic) session (at the login prompt) make this crashing & reset worse?
