it seems I can not set up cpupower w7 my system …
any ideas or suggestions?

What do you mean with you can’t set up cpupower?

I see that you try to modprobe “powernow-k8”, but that is an almost deprecated driver for way older than your CPU ones.

“acpi-cpufreq” is the one almost any modern non-intel CPU should use AFAIK. And it should be loaded automatically anyway.

that one is not even a member of the k - CPU generations any more.
The Phenom II was the last of the k-CPU’s, in detail that one was k10 architecture. After that came Bulldozer and Piledriver (yours)

I had an FX8350 since 2013, just sold it some weeks ago. It ran without issues.

I want to move my audio system DAW from kde neon to manjaro so i have to do a lot of optimizations which require different steps than w/ a debian system.

cpupower frequency-info
it shows set to “performance” but below it shows:

  current CPU frequency: 4.00 GHz (asserted by call to hardware)
  boost state support:

    Pstate-P4:  1400MHz

above the P1-P4 state looks strange … but
sudo watch grep “cpu MHz” /proc/cpuinfo
shows any CPU running w/ speed of 4000 MHz

to make it permanent … are these the correct steps?
