this has been a problem since i switched from pop_os and linux mint, they both worked perfectly fine, had no issues with hardware and stuff, but after i switched to Manjaro, and i think i did everything as it should be done on instalation, as i followed a whole lot of tutorials so i dont f anything up, Manjaro keeps getting me to even 100% CPU for no reason, as shown in the photo
Run htop and see what is causing the CPU usage. Probably baloo is indexing.
ksysguard is now showing lower cpu usage while htop shows 50% using only ksysguard

yes, now after a restart its at 1%, but as soon as i open browser, games, even discord or steam, it just goes very high, i never had this problem before manjaro

i don’t feel like its normal, as i said, never had this issue with other linux distros or windows, my ram and gpu is perfectly fine, only cpu going way higher than it should, 100% sometimes for something as simple as a browser or just looking at some videos

From the output of htop I can see the CPU usage is about 35% on all cores mostly because of whale which I’m guessing is the whale-browser?
yes. i did some reinstalling of browser, switched to midori, and its alot lower cpu usage on videos, still not happy with the way my cpu is performing, it was way better before manjaro
When I play a video in firefox with my integrated GPU and i5 processor the CPU usage is also about 30%
I wouldn’t worry about it.
