Constantly getting aborted install messages

Tried installing several small apps from the AUR and every one has aborted with this message:

==> Validating source files with sha256sums…
libXaw3dXft-1.6.2h.tar.bz2 … Passed
==> Removing existing $srcdir/ directory…
==> Extracting sources…
→ Extracting libXaw3dXft-1.6.2h.tar.bz2 with bsdtar
==> Starting build()…
./autogen.sh: line 9: autoreconf: command not found
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().
Aborting…

I am not altering anything, simply locating an app using search and then selecting it and tapping the apply tab. Is there an issue with my system? It is all the default Manjaro Xfce install…I do not know enough to change anything!

I can post the full page output, but I thought that above was the salient part.

You’re missing the base-devel meta package which is a prerequisite for using the AUR. See Arch User Repository - Manjaro

Perfect, thank you!
