Anydesk (flatpak) and Anydesk-bin doesnt work

I’m trying to remote someone using anydesk but it seems like it does not work,

I tried both of the version from flatpak and aur

logs from journalctl shows this-flatpack version

Dec 18 23:50:37 manjaro systemd[989]: app-flatpak-com.anydesk.Anydesk-53709.scope: Succeeded.
and nothing happens.

from aur:

(anydesk:25201): GdkGLExt-WARNING **: 22:54:25.949: Window system doesn’t support OpenGL.

both doesnt launch at all. I am using Xrender btw.

Hello @echo26 :wink:

Could you post:

inxi -Gazy

and

glxinfo | grep OpenGL

and try if this runs (install mesa-demos):

glxgears

I’ll take a look sire. Thanks for the assistance :blush:.

@megavolt errors around

@echo26 I would say the gpu is wrong configured or packages are not installed…

xorg files:

for x in $(ls /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/); do echo -e "\n--- $x ---\n\n$(cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/$x)";done | curl -F'file=@-' https://0x0.st

xorg logs:

for x in $(ls /var/log/Xorg.*); do echo -e "\n--- $x ---\n\n$(cat $x)";done | curl -F'file=@-' https://0x0.st

Is mesa installed?

LANG=C pamac search mesa | grep Installed

Maybe full update could also help:

sudo pacman-mirrors -c all
pamac update --force-refresh --enable-downgrade

Which kernel are you running?

mhwd-kernel -li

How is the kernel configured?

cat /etc/mkinitcpio.conf | grep -v "#"

Please also full system information:

inxi -Fazy

These information would be helpful…

That is the problem.

Searching for the files, gives me this:

$ LANG=C pamac search --files r600_dri.so
/usr/lib32/dri/r600_dri.so is owned by lib32-mesa
/usr/lib/dri/r600_dri.so is owned by mesa
/usr/lib/dri/r600_dri.so is owned by mesa-git
/usr/lib32/dri/r600_dri.so is owned by lib32-mesa-git
$ LANG=C pamac search --files swrast_dri.so
/usr/lib32/dri/kms_swrast_dri.so is owned by lib32-mesa
/usr/lib32/dri/swrast_dri.so is owned by lib32-mesa
/usr/lib/dri/kms_swrast_dri.so is owned by mesa
/usr/lib/dri/swrast_dri.so is owned by mesa
/usr/lib/dri/kms_swrast_dri.so is owned by mesa-git
/usr/lib/dri/swrast_dri.so is owned by mesa-git
/usr/lib32/dri/kms_swrast_dri.so is owned by lib32-mesa-git
/usr/lib32/dri/swrast_dri.so is owned by lib32-mesa-git

But mesa is installed:

Could you check if the files are there?

file /usr/lib/dri/r600_dri.so && file /usr/lib/dri/swrast_dri.so

Reinstalling mesa could help:

pamac install mesa lib32-mesa

Also this:

$ LANG=C pamac search --files --no-aur libLLVM-10.so
/usr/lib/libLLVM-10.so is owned by llvm10-libs

Install this also libLLVM-10.so:

pamac install llvm10-libs

file /usr/lib/dri/r600_dri.so && file /usr/lib/dri/swrast_dri.so

/usr/lib/dri/r600_dri.so: ELF 64-bit LSB shared object, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically li

LANG=C pamac search --files --no-aur libLLVM-10.so

/usr/lib/libLLVM-10.so is owned by llvm10-libs

updated everything, still no luck for it. I didn’t know that my gpu isnt properly configured.

anydesk just shows up as an icon in the task bar for 5 secs , then gone.

Ok so lets try some tweaks;

Create a file a open it with nano:

sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-radeon.conf

Then add there:

Section "Device"
Identifier "Radeon"
Driver "radeon"
Option "AccelMethod" "glamor" #> or use "exa" for legacy
Option "DRI" "3" #> or use "2" for legacy
Option "TearFree" "on"
EndSection

Save it with CTRL+S and close with CTRL+X

Before doing so, keep sure, you have a live boot disk ready, just in case manjaro wont boot properly, but i guess you can access another TTY by typing CTRL+ALT+F3, login and change the Options by doing the same like above.

Reboot.

Ow. Hey @megavolt, it’s working now. I did once again do a reboot, have it sit for like an hour, and now anydesk is working now.

Thanks for the help. Looks like a pacman did the job. Not sure which one. I wonder if it’s because I usually install packages my using pacman -S , technically it’s partial only not a full system upgrade. I heard before that it is causing issue. But I’ll take a look next time better on upgrading everything before any package installation

I’ll check again the x.org logs.

That error is not there anymore.
