config file for xdg

Hi,

Currently in bspwm the xdg-open uses the micro editor to open files. I will like the default editor to be either emacs or vim. I see there are command line options to set the app, however is there a config file where I can see all the extensions and set them.

Thanks,
Murtaza

It probably is not xdg, it probably is set by an environmental variable, check:

echo $EDIT
echo $EDITOR

@airclay - where do you set these?

It used to be in ~/.profile.conf

It is still there. In the default version, it should be lines 14, 18 and, 19 to set when to use which editor.

thanks guys, that worked !
