Concerns about installation of Manjaro on my PC due to the h264

So, I was about to install manjaro on my Pc that has a ryzen 5 5600g processor and an AMD gpu as well. But I have concerns about the hardware codecs for encoding and decoding on linux. Will it supposed a problem if I switch?

Its a desktop Pc with 16 Gb of Ram and 1 SSD and 1 HDD. Thanks in advanced for the information.

Best way to get h264 accelerated again?

I’m searching about the best way to get vaapi accel again. I mean, I can’t have a distro that each time it gets update I must recompile mesa to get something useful( because not having h264 it nos useful) in the vaapi meaning. AMD pls, do something we can not stay that way around! A distro for users that can not encode is not a distro for users, sorry. but… after my opinion, pls, be away of opinions, only speak about how to get it working in a " useful" way May be a repo with the correct pac…

When you have to ask - probably not.

When someone have to ask - it is usually based a blabber brain on youtube who curse because Mesa excluded h2xx in the build profiles.

While Arch Linux has chosen to enable the codecs other chooses not to.
