Compositor slow/laggy after kernel 6.6.32 upgrade

I upgraded from 5.15 to 6.6 LTS and I noticed the compositor is slow and laggy when starting apps and minimizing/maximizing. The right click context menu is also slow (appears slow, and hover effects are slow as well).

Regarding the window transitions - they’re only slow when I’m looking at my desktop and opening/maximizing/minimizing a window. If I do the same on top of another window it’s all fine.
