Lock screen not recognising password

Hi,

I have Cinnamon based Manjaro installed on one of my older laptops. It works well but for some reason the lock screen does not recognise the password I have chosen. There is only one password for everything and its very simple as this is just a kick around machine mainly used when travelling.

I can disable the lock screen from settings but was wondering if anyone else had, had this problem?

Hi,
I have the same problem too.
I installed Manjaro with Cutefish Desktop.
  ~  lsb_release -a  :heavy_check_mark:
LSB Version: n/a
Distributor ID: ManjaroLinux
Description: Manjaro Linux
Release: 21.2.0
Codename: Qonos

This might happen if someone enters the wrong password more than three times. The log-in manager locks the user from logging-in for 10 minutes. But the remaining time is shown only for a few milliseconds. So user hardly can realize the issue.

Hello DUDE.

CTR+ALT+F5

Then login with username: root then type root password…

Then:
vim /etc/security/faillock.conf
set from
#deny =3
to
deny=0

Yes, remove the hashtag ahhaha

Done !!
