Yes, it’s still crashing. I can mitigate the frequency of crashes by playing on low settings, though. I play it through proton experimental, but have tried other proton versions as well.

So running through Steam and have tried different proton versions? Maybe check PowerMizer settings under Nivida settings, Rebar on/off? Have you tried running from an X session instead of Wayland? BG3 isn’t THAT demanding a game, your 3070 should be able to handle it fine.

You have a paritition filled to the brim, you probably should made at least 20-30% space free, to let your partitions breath a little.
From my understanding, even if you have massive RAM, you might still need a Swap partition for at least 6-8Gbyte size for some games.
I’ll look into setting up a swap, as for the partitions I do need to move stuff around some but the full one is not being used for anything but backups so I don’t see how that would be causing the issue.

If swap file isn’t helping, there is also still a option that your CPU/GPU or Memory needs maybe a little bid (minor) more Voltage to run stable or another way (more hardware&energy friendly way) is to reduce MHz Speed on your components to archive stability.
Yeaa… I just have so much storage and so little to store so the nvme worked lol. I’ll look into playing with overclocking settings to try and stabilise my components but that does make me a little anxious. Are there any good resources on that?
A HDD is the most perfect solution for backups and even more secure when its a external HDD, which isn’t plugged at PC (all the time), it gives then more security against Lightning strikes or ransom ware attacks.
For Memory and CPU this is simple to reduce Mhz or increase Volt in Bios… but it can’t hurt to double check this in some Undervolting/Overclocking Guides (specially for your Mainboard Bios) maybe you lucky and can find exactly some infos for your system.
For your GPU there are 2 tools under Linux, which you can archive this.
But i forgot how they called, you probably would try this at the last option ![]()
