System is up to date Intel-64. Ever since installing Manjaro, claws message colors disappear when the claws window loses focus. I could swear I saw something about this when I first looked into it, and so expected an imminent update, but now I find nothing.
I have focus following mouse pointer turned on.
WM is Xfce4.
So: it has always been like this?
I don’t use Claws - I don’t know if this is expected behavior or not.

Ever since I first installed Manjaro. Xfce4, correct. Should I submit this under Xfce4 as well?
I should note that to restore the message colors, I have to click on the inbox, not just focus the claws window. That suggests to me that this is a claws issue, and not an xfce4 issue.

It wouldn’t hurt if you added xfce4 to your post.
Maybe it is specific to Xfce4, maybe it is not - who knows …?
I can’t help further - I don’t use Claws - and my main system doesn’t even run Manjaro.

Hi, I also use Xfce desktop and Claws as mail client. Out of curiosity I checked it with myself, but with me the color scheme is preserved as I set it by adjusting it to the GTK3 theme I use. Perhaps it is the GTK3 theme that is the problem ? Check if this occurs on other themes.
switched to Vimix-light-doder in Xfce4 and problem appears to be fixed.
Spoke too soon. Message colors persist over minimizing, which was not the case before, but changing focus still loses the colors.
