im not sure im posting this in the right place. but i will go where the appropriate place is and apologies if this is the wrong place
i have Manjaro with cinnamon DE. wanted to check to see what things actually worked under wayland. the thing that stook out for me was the bluetooth icon in the system panel wasn’t showing up. i did all the work arounds and still nothing showed up. bluetooth works, but couldn’t get the icon to show in the system panel. finally i rebooted into default cinnamon and there it is!
so, question; is this a known bug? its a minor inconvenience, its not a deal breaker, but wondered if anyone else ran into this, knows of a work around, or what ever.

Cinnamon on Wayland is still alpha stage. That means you should expect lots of parts to not work. The current list of issues, whether they need fixing in Cinnamon, in an XApp project, a Mint tool or any software project Linux Mint maintains, can be found on Issues · linuxmint/wayland · GitHub.

thank you. yeah i knew it was a work in progress and Manjaro Cinnamon being a community project, i wouldn’t expect priority fixes on wayland Cinnamon. i was just wondering if anyone knew of a work around or fix for this. i normally boot into default. but decided to try wayland i guess because i was bored lol
Which “workarounds” were these, out of interest? 
It might be worth noting that I seem to recall needing to add stuff back to my KDE Panel when I switched to Wayland, but that was a long time ago now. Maybe the same is needed for Cinnamon, assuming that’s something you haven’t already tried. 
IN Cinnamon, under X11 server (xorg or Xlibre), the certain icons will show up under the applet “System Tray”, some Wayland apps will use the “Xapp Status Applet”, the latter does not come installed under Manjaro Cinnamon.
Go to System Settings > Applets and look for “XApp Status Applet”, install it along side System Tray, most system tray icons should now show up.
