Chromium-widewine - how to use/update?

Not sure if you can have esr versions of chromium anyway… that’s rather a Firefox theme…

No, I implied the idea. Esr is dated but maintained for security; chrome/chromium does not have that concept apparently…

Btw do you know why @spikerguy didn’t consider making a firefox_esr-widevine instead of chromium-widevine? Firefox is also capable these days. However, given the incapability of updating, I wouldn’t be sure if it would make any difference…

Not sure how easy it is to get Firefox esr working with a compatible widevine plugin….

The only known working way is the one via the chromeos restore image…

Ah no, it was just an idea that came to my mind.

Based on my understanding, installing firefox esr will not make more sense than chromium as we won’t be able to apply any security updates after the docker install…
