I am a new user of Manjaro. Whenever I try to open the cheese app it shows the loading sign and the webcam indicator goes off for few seconds and the it turns off. Then nothing happens. How can i fix this?
Perhaps some more information can be gained if you open a terminal and start cheese from there - watch and perhaps report the output written to terminal.
Is your system up to date?

Yes, it is up to date.
From the terminal it says,
(cheese:5211): Gdk-WARNING **: 14:41:46.306: Native Windows taller than 65535 pixels are not supported
This might help.
