My webcam supports 1280x720 on Windows but now that I installed Manjaro I can’t get it to work past 640x480. How can I override these settings or find a workaround ?

Especially the Linux has multiple kernels section, then try an LTS kernel and hopefully the problem will go away “automagically”.

This is weird, but as I don’t use OBS, please try fiddling with the Device
, Input
and Video format
fields:
and see if the resolution pops up (E.G. by taking camera 0 or whatever else you can change). Do this methodically, not randomly!
If that still doesn’t show the HD resolution in the Resolution
drop-down, file a bug with the OBS developer and provide the inxi
and the edited lsusb --verbose
and the screenshot and all the kernels you’ve tried to said developer.
P.S. Trying to see if there is a 16-9
field in the Device list instead of 4-3
would be top of my list.

I don’t think it’s related to the Camera or OBS, because other apps such as skype or the browser do not recognize 720p too!
I think it is a driver issue or less likely, a kernel one.
Anyway, I gave up on this because it took a lot of my time and i’m still satisfied with my setup since I solved all other issues with the touchpad and graphic cards.
