flatpak update

The script is part of the package deployed by flatpak.

The best place to direct issues like this is to contact whomever is in charge of the flatpak packages used.

It appears to be a single dependency causing the message - the message is a warning only - not an error - and the application depending on this may work as expected.

//EDIT

You may try removing the application, then proceed to remove the dependencies - after which you may be able to reinstall the application and the dependencies.

flatpak update and flatpak upgrade - same error

hm… I installed 2 packages - ferdium and camera (provided camera package can’t get permissions,) but I see a few more flatpak packages included in the flatpak list that I did not install:

Even after uninstalling Ferdium and the camera, the warning persists.

Did this org.freedesktop.Platform got installed after enabling flatpak in pamac?

Pamac is abstracting the flatpak commands - I am not sure of how - I have never dissected the Pamac source code in for the flatpak plugin; as pamac always requires elevated privileges one may suspect the wrong permission is applied when using Pamac; I have no way of knowing this for sure - I simply don’t know enough to be able deduce how it work.

The platform packages are installed as dependencies for other packages - so I would do something like

flatpak remove org.gnome.Snapshot
flatpak remove org.ferdium.Ferdium
flatpak remove --unused
sudo flatpak repair
flatpak install flathub org.gnome.Snapshot
flatpak install flathub org.ferdium.Ferdium

tnx!

Initially, I installed fedrium and camera via pamac, but now following your steps, I removed and installed via terminal.

Camera installed org.freedesktop.Platform.openh264 as dependency but can’t be installed after following your steps.

flatpak install flathub org.gnome.Snapshot

I uninstalled the camera package and dependencies for now.

Tnx for the support!

Hmm  strange - something local is in play as the same work without any issue at my end

Looking at the differences one could speculate if the VAAPI package is in conflict with openh264

→ org.freedesktop.Platform.VAAPI.Intel
