I am currently unable to update Manjaro-Pipewire because of a dependency issue with pipewire-alsa. When I try to update, I’m given the message below.
:: manjaro-pipewire and pipewire-alsa are in conflict (pulseaudio-alsa). Remove pipewire-alsa? [y/N] y
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: unable to satisfy dependency 'pipewire-alsa' required by manjaro-pipewire
The problem here seems to be that pipewire-alsa is required by manjaro-pipewire in order to update, which makes it impossible for me to remove the dependency, but pipewire-alsa apparently also conflicts with manjaro-pipewire, so I am unable to update the meta package.
sudo pacman -Ru --nodeps pulseaudio pulseaudio-equalizer pulseaudio-jack pulseaudio-lirc pulseaudio-rtp pulseaudio-zeroconf pulseaudio-bluetooth pulseaudio-pa pulseaudio-alsa pulseaudio-ctl manjaro-pulse && sudo pacman -S manjaro-pipewire
are you using
manjaro-pipewire is just a metapackage to ensure all the pipewire packages are installed
Depends On : gst-plugin-pipewire pipewire pipewire-alsa
If you already have these packages installed
manjaro-pipewire is no longer required and can be removed
pamac remove manjaro-pipewire
The problem was solved with Manjaro-Pipewire 20220217-2, as the updated meta package doesn’t conflict with Pipewire-Alsa.
