Can't move downloaded files to new folder and can't create folders

Hi,

I can’t move a downloaded file to a different folder, and I can’t create any new folder. I tried running “sudo chown -R username:username /partition/mount-point” and it ran and changed the ownership of A LOT of things, but it still isn’t working.

I think it might be an issue with the permissions.

Can someone please help me?

I now tried running “chmod -R +rw [path to you harddrive]” and now when I go to dolphin and right click, “create new” is grey and unavailable. How do i fix this so that I can create new folders and move files around?

Did you read the post I linked to? You are not providing us with any information that could tell us where the problem lies.

• Where are the files located that you want to move?
• What type of filesystem is on the source partition and what filesystem is on the target partition?
• Are Windows Fast Boot and Secure Boot disabled?
