I wouldn’t know about that.
My limited experience is with Samsung phones - just yesterday I put Android 10 on my Galaxy A3 (2016).
I do know that some Xiaomi phones are supported by official lineage os builds - and there are even more “unofficial” ones.
But that is the extent of my “knowledge”.

Found the issue I didn’t added vboxusers to the groups, I will try that tomorrow
It is not about flashing roms, they don’t even have a tool for unlocking bootloader in linux or Mac for that matter, it is so pathetic sometimes, anyway this is not the place to rant about OEM 
Fixed everything needed to do a usermod -aG command and the passthrough worked
