I have an early 2013 Macbook Pro 15 Retina with 2.7Ghz, i7 and 16GB RAM. Wifi is working and I’m currently connected and it’s reliable. The only issue is that while in Gnome, I can only see my slower network and cannot see my 5Ghz faster network. When I was running KDE Manjaro, I could see and connect to my faster network.
Here’s more info:Device-1: Broadcom NetXtreme BCM57786 Gigabit Ethernet PCIe driver: N/A
Device-2: Broadcom BCM4331 802.11a/b/g/n driver: bcma-pci-bridge
Extra info: I’m getting over 900 Mbps in data with my hard connection which is what it should be. I should be able to get about 400-500 Mbps with my 5Ghz connection at this location.
Welcome to the forum!
Please post your system info as outlined here:
Welcome to Manjaro!
To allow all of us helpful gurus on this forum TO HELP YOU, we need some basic information about your system. This probably means you described the symptoms of your problem, but now we need some more information to know where the origin of your issue is exactly.
Someone probably linked you to this tutorial, so if you’re reading this in response to a question, please click the green link above this text to bring you to the full and unabridged text of the tutorial…
I have added the device info above.
Any help would be appreciated.
Maybe for some reason, a channel is being blocked? Sometimes happens when the wifi driver is compiled in another country with different configs, from what I read in the past.
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=183618
Try changing the channel in your router. I ran into this issue once before long long time ago, and this fixed the issue.
Good idea, but No Joy. I tried 3 different channels.

Any other ideas? This faster network works fine with Manjaro KDE, but not Gnome.
Can you please provide the output inxi -Fza
? (it hides identifying data so don’t worry)
Have you tried other kernels?
