It seems that using a FIDO2 key as second factor for logging into the forum is not working anymore when using Brave browser.
I can successfully configure the key in my settings under /preferences/second-factor.
But when I logout and then try to use the key when logging in again the key is not recognised. I get the following error message:
The public key verification for the credential failed.
or
The security key authentication process either timed out or was cancelled.
I tried with both a Solo USB-A – SoloKeys and a Nitrokey FIDO2 | www.nitrokey.com.
I have no problems using the keys as 2nd factor on other pages like github.com or google.com
The keys also work fine when using Firefox to login to the forum.
Does anyone else have this problem?
